Mr. Tait was very professional & helpful in giving us information & more than 1 estimate to help us decide what we wanted as well as what was within our price range. He knew the current Code regulations & advised what they entailed. He knew what he was talking about. Despite my having read you should space boards a little, he advised the wood would shrink some as it dried out so that he does not leave space between wooden boards. He was right on. He was flexible when we asked for modifications from our original plan. He responded without hesitation to replacing a board that I did not like.

This is the third time we've had Mike Tait do a major renovation in our home. Mike was very helpful during the design and planning stage by giving us pros and cons of different materials and finishes. He was very patient in answering our many questions. Once again we are extremely pleased with the job that Mike and his crew did with our basement/laundry room renovation. The finished space is brighter, warmer, and much more usable. The project was completed on time and on budget. Mike was very good at communicating any problems or changes and replied quickly to calls and emails.

I made the decision to work with Exterior Specialist LLC for a very substantial renovation to my 5 bedroom home in July 2014. The renovation was complex, and required a high level of expert guidance from Tait on all fronts. The architecture, engineering, permitting and execution were all very challenging, but were executed in a very timely, cost effective, aesthetically appealing and reliable fashion by the entire Tait team. Mike Tait and his team of craftsmen really did amazing things to the house, prompting me to ask the back for a full garage and basement renovation. I can't say enough about the benefits of working with Exterior Specialist LLC! They are a permanent part of my plans for future projects and a real "safe harbor" in executing difficult to figure out construction situations. I can't thank them enough for building my old home into my dream home!

We finally found a great contractor. My Wife and I have lived in our 100 year old home for 35 year's in that time we've lived through all kinds of construction work with several different contractors. Mike and his crew addressed structural issue's other contractors told us couldn't be done which allowed us to remove walls and open up the space for our dream kitchen. The highly skilled carpenters not only installed our new kitchen they also made mouldings and trim to match the old style existing woodwork in our home. They were on time every day & cleaned up after themselves. Mike made the whole process easy and anytime there was an issue he would have a couple of solutions already figured out. We always felt he had time for us and was quick to respond to emails and calls. We have recommended Exterior Specialist LLC several times and will continue to do so.
